As Assistant Principal and Middle School Director, Ben leads the middle school at PHA. In this current role, he supports the school community to reimagine and realize school as a place of deep belonging, learning, and joy. Over his sixteen years of dedication to the Prospect Hill community, Ben has co-led the high school’s development of new systems for student learning and growth, including social-emotional curriculum, student portfolios and defenses, and standards-based grading. Throughout this time he has also been an English teacher, primarily in grades 11 and 12, and the 7-12 Humanities Coordinator.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Brown University. Outside of his work as an educator, Ben spends his time with his wife, two kids, and two cats. He most enjoys being on soccer fields and dance floors, and looking at the world through a camera lens.
