Currently, Kett is the Middle School Assistant Principal of Humanities at the Academy of the Pacific Rim. Previously she occupied the role of Humanities Dean of Instruction as an instructional coach. Prior to APR, Kett was an instructional leader and History Teacher at Roxbury Preparatory Charter High School and Roxbury Preparatory Middle School–Lucy Stone. During her time at Roxbury Prep, she intentionally created, adapted and implemented history and social sciences curriculum for grades 7-9 grade. She focused instruction on building up all students’ capacity to integrate their critical lens with their identities and current societal contexts. Her coaching partnerships centers on building teachers’ confidence to plan and deliver lessons that are most relevant and responsive to all learners.

In Spring/Summer 2022, Kett joined the Transformative Leaders of Massachausetts at Springpoint Fellowship. As one of 12 cohort members, she is energized to transform and lead schools that promote positive youth development and belonging for all students’ success in college and beyond.Aside from her professional life, Kett is an avid Scream film franchise and MarvelCinematic Universe fan; loves to dance across many music genres including soca, salsa, and R&B. She is a proud alumna of Salem High School, MA and currently lives in Boston, MA.
