As Director, Leadership and School design, Lauren leads the development and implementation of Springpoint’s Transformative Leaders of Massachusetts fellowship.
Prior to Springpoint, Lauren founded the Relay Teacher Residency at Relay Graduate School of Education. Over seven years, she grew the program to serve 1300 teaching residents per year across 13 states. As program dean, Lauren trained and supported program directors and faculty on curriculum and program design and implementation, resulting in 89% of apprentices earning roles as full time teachers. Lauren also served as an Assistant Professor of Practice at Relay, where she taught courses in general pedagogy, instructional planning and delivery, classroom culture, and supporting all learners. Previously, she worked as the Senior Director of Literacy for a charter management organization, overseeing literacy instruction across K-12 schools. A once and future English Teacher, Lauren started her career as a teacher and dean of instruction in New York City and Newark, New Jersey.
Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Tufts University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Pace University.
