Luke Bauer brings his knowledge and experience in school leadership, design, and leadership development to increase the quality and value of professional learning. As the Director of School Leadership and Design, he works to support partners in planning more broadly around student success, rooting their work in positive youth development, and focusing on key levers that maximize opportunities for students to thrive.

Luke began his career in Kansas City, Kansas working at Turner High School as a social studies teacher and a baseball, basketball, and soccer coach. In 2006, he began working at East Bronx Academy for the Future (EBA), a 6-12 south Bronx school, where he taught both middle and high school social studies before becoming an assistant principal at EBA in 2008. He has also helped lead Odell Education as the director of professional development, where he created and delivered training for teachers, principals, superintendents, and other leaders in districts across the United States.

Prior to joining Springpoint, Luke became the founding principal of the Urban Assembly Maker Academy in New York city through a partnership with Springpoint and the Urban Assembly. Under his leadership the graduation rate rose to over 95% for all students and to over 80% for students with disabilities. Additionally, over 97% of students were accepted to college during his time at UA Maker.

Luke holds a MA in Educational Leadership from New York University and a BS in Middle and Secondary Education from the University of Kansas.
