As Senior Director, Stefanie leads the development and implementation of Springpoint’s continuous improvement services for schools, oversees finance and operations, and helps drive organizational strategy. These various roles and responsibilities tap her unwavering commitment to transforming public education and leverage her leadership skills, detail-orientation, strengths-based talent development, and love of project management. Her favorite role, and one that fuels and fulfills her passion for learning, is supporting educators as they design or redesign equitable schools—schools where all students have access to engaging, high quality learning in an environment where they feel safe and celebrated as individuals.
Prior to joining Springpoint, Stefanie served as Deputy Director and Senior Program Officer at Next Generation Learning Challenges. Over nine years, she diversified funding streams, managed fiscal and team operations, designed and implemented initiatives, programs, and professional development, and evaluated and reported on effectiveness and impact.
Previously, Stefanie spent more than 20 years in public school systems as a teacher, teacher leader, and district leader. In her last public education role, Stefanie served as the director of curriculum for a Vermont school district, facilitating curriculum and assessment development, analyzing data, and supporting teachers and administrators with ongoing professional learning. There she led teacher teams in the research and design of a next gen school model, worked with stakeholder groups to build ownership and support, and facilitated all the work leading to implementation of the new model—budget, facilities, human capital, curriculum design, platform design, assessment design, scheduling, professional learning.
Stefanie is a Data Teams trainer (Center for Performance Assessment), trained facilitator (National School Reform Faculty & National Equity Project), literacy coach and specialist, and a licensed Principal. She has taught a range of grades from kindergarten to literacy in a clinical setting for high schoolers to adults in college courses. She will always be a teacher at heart!
Stefanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Vermont, a Masters of Education in Reading and Language Arts from the University of Vermont, and a CAGS in Leadership from St. Michael’s College.
