Slam Poetry

How can you use the techniques of Slam Poetry to move your audience so that they understand and feel some part of your experience, values, or perspective?

Creative Artifact

Students craft their own piece of slam poetry that conveys a personal insight, experience, or point of view.

Written Commentary

Students write a literary analysis of both their own poem as well as one that they select from a list of options.

Exhibition

Students perform the poem that they have written for members of the school community.

Reading Literature:
